About Buddy

Buddy is a handsome happy middle-aged velcro Australian Shepherd who had a not so easy start in life. Because of his rough beginning he wants to take advantage of every single minute of life. Buddy knows what is most important and that is you. I have had lots and lots of dog friends in my life but none who is more devoted to his person than Buddy. Because of this devotion he may sometimes get a little hyper and need a little reassurance that you love him as much as he loves you. Have you ever heard the term 'Velcro dog'? Well what that means is if you are in the kitchen, Buddy will be in the kitchen. If you are in the bedroom, Buddy will be in the bedroom. If you are outside watering the plants in your fenced in yard Buddy will be right beside you making sure that you don't forget how much he loves you. Did you notice I said fenced in yard? Well let me say it again so we are clear, Buddy needs a fenced in yard. He needs to be inside a safe secure are just to be sure if the neighbors are shooting guns or fireworks that he doesn't get scared and run away. He's not at all fond of thunderstorms and will need to be right beside you so he can help you feel safe is what we have decided it is. Buddy has some allergies and coughs and sneezes but that may get better in a different climate. I can keep him on allergy medication and he doesn't cough or sneeze but its not good for him to stay sleepy from the medication so we treat it as needed. Buddy loves all other animals including cats he's met and he especially enjoys children. He's a wiggle butt who will lay down in the bathtub and soak if you will let him at bath time. As I said before, Buddy had a rough start, he was abused, so he is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily so he will need a loving and gentle handler. He is all about having a good time and making the most of life and will be a great addition for a experienced aussie family. There is one more condition, you have to keep in touch. I just want someone to love Buddy as much as I do and for him to have his very own person in a smaller pack.
