About Molly

Meet Molly. We are looking for a very dedicated person to be her forever family. We are looking for someone that will be able to understand that this dog suffered greatly with allergies these past few years. The vet she was seeing apparently couldn't handle the problem. I know every time you turn around, you hear people complaining about how dangerous this medication is or that medication is no good. Poor Molly has been through the ringer with this trial and that trial. We have found what works for her. The last thing she needs is for a vet that doesn't understand her struggles to immediately try switching her treatment. She needs someone that will stick by her and be her advocate. If you can do that, let us know. ALL ABOUT MOLLY Molly is a sweet 8-year-old Westie who thinks she is the boss. She is definitely alpha so she needs to be with a docile male if there is another dog in the house. She loves to eat, she sleeps in her crate but would gladly sleep in the bed with her person. She tends toward anxiety so somebody that is retired or works from home would be better than somebody who works outside the home. She's housebroken and will let you know when she has to go out, she likes exploring so a fenced yard is ideal. She will run if given the opportunity. Molly loves toys but tends to destroy them, even the tough toys. She likes other dogs, on her terms, but prefers males over females. Molly needs somebody who will follow the protocol that we've established for her as her allergies are currently under control. Access to a dermatologist would be a plus but a knowledgeable vet with experience with allergies and skin issues would work. Molly has suffered with allergies and itching for the past 4+ years so her new person has to understand and be willing to follow what we've established works for her. She is currently on two meds for her allergies. The dermatologist says that she'll be on Temeril-P & Terbinafine for the rest of her life as it keeps her itching under control and the yeast at bay. Cytopoint shots don't work on her and she hasn't been on Apoquel with us, but I don't think it worked either, according to information received from her owner. She eats Stella & Chewy freeze dried raw, any flavor but chicken. She gets 1 patty, plus �%BD cup of Only Natural Pet dehydrated raw turkey per meal. She gets 1 S&C patty at lunch, I just break it into pieces. I give it to her dry like a treat. She loves to go for walks and ride in the car. She wants to sit by her human whenever they sit down and she minds about 80% of the time unless there is food involved. She jumps like a kangaroo and barks constantly when fixing her meals but if she's an only or has one other friend it won't take so long to fix her food. She has a very very loud bark. She knows sit, stay, off when she wants to listen, she has lots of Westietude but is a very sweet girl who loves giving kisses.
