About Sally

Sally is the reason we are all here. Sally was our FIRST rescue here. She was found by Adriana in her apartment's dog park, tied up, dumped with a 30 pound bag of food, two food bowls, leashes and collars and had been reported to have been there over 10 hours, barking and crying, before we got to her. She was also very overweight. She had several fatty masses on her body that are non threatening and a few other unknown tumors on her. Due to her age, our vet felt it was very risky to do the surgery until she was healthy enough. She has since lived in an amazing foster home and lost weight and is doing incredibly well! She is like a puppy again! We need to place her close by, within 3 hours of Oklahoma City, in a foster home until we can either do the surgery safely or determine if it is just best to let her live out her life as a foster in our rescue forever. Sally Mae is a beautiful 11 year old Labrador weighing in around 80lbs. She has a unique birthmark on her ear that gives an extra sparkle to her personality. Her ideal home would be somebody who is active and can take her on walks and adventures. She loves all animals and especially loves tennis balls. She is protective over her family so if somebody knocks she will bark to make sure you know. She can sleep all day or play all day, she is very laid back and extremely well behaved. She is very healthy for a 11 year old and loves running, swimming and walking as well. She knows basic obedience and special tricks such as speak, roll over, around, and sit pretty. She is a fun ball of energy but can relax to watch a movie or just hang out when needed! Can you open your heart and your home to this beautiful Senior in need of a safe place to land?
