*Not suitable for homes with children under 16* They are going to be going through training Extensive training to rehabilitate. But are not ready for adoption anytime soon - please follow our Facebook for more up-to-date information as we learn their needs! Sherlock is Saint/Dane with severe stranger anxiety/aggression and is nearly 190 pounds of solid muscle. He is amazing with other dogs, but people were a whole different story! He was extremely protective, territorial and would guard his mom even from her own children and husband in the home, strangers would get the worst of it and he would have to be fully muzzled all the time. Since being with us, his life is changing! He has been learning that people are not threatening or dangerous and he can love and like more than just one human. He has come so incredibly far since he arrived. Today a neighbor was feeding him treats, giving him commands over the fence and he did incredible!!! Only a few months ago he would have tried to lunge and bite anyone new he met. He is making HUGE strides, learning to trust more than just a few people and we take each day one step at a time. Consistency in training, exposure and tons of positive reinforcement are working. He has rotated between two great fosters that both really love and adore him... We keep talking about joint custody %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%A4%BD%BD%BD. Yet, its been so good for him as both provide such a different environment, different people and experiences. He thrives from it and is doing so good, but still has a long way to go, but we will get him there. He would be dead had we not stepped up to save his life. Everyone else said to euthanize him and would not help him. He literally turned 1 year old only a few days before we arrived to take him.
