About Maggie

With just a little love and patience, even a shy pup will start to shine!�%A0�%9D%A4��%8F�%A0Maggie is a house trained 1 year old, 43 lb Hound/Carolina Dog (best guess!0 mix whose Long Island foster mom says is an awesome dog who is so loving. She bonds very quickly with her people, and while she will happily play with her toys, she likes to know her humans are nearby. Initially she takes a little while to warm up (and by this we mean a lot of barking), but after about 30 minutes with her , she'll be eating treats out of your hand and snuggling up close. Give her 1 1/2 hours or so, and Maggie becomes a totally relaxed, happy girl, running around the yard playing with her toys. This sweetie desperately wants love, but she's just a bit unsure of who she should accept it from. She is looking for a caring and compassionate home with patient owners who will continue to help build her confidence bitand understand she is a bit shy when meeting new people. Maggie needs a quiet home as an only dog where she can be the apple of her parent's eye. We'd prefer a home without kids simply because she has never been around little ones. We don't know about cats, but we are leaning towards her not loving the kitties. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, and her adoption fee is $425..
