About Dixy

I am currently fostering sweet Dixy! Dixy is one of the sweetest dogs I've *ever* met. At 11 years old she might be on the mature side but that just means she is wiser than your average pup and knows how to appreciate the important things in life, like giving/receiving love and belly rubs! She has plenty of life and love left to give. She is perfectly behaved, house trained, super mellow, affectionate, and asks for nothing more than a couple of walks and plentiful belly rubs each day. She already knows 'sit', 'paw', and 'down'! She is happy to get silly and play fetch or tug-of-war with you, but don't worry about her outlasting you - in a few minutes she'll be ready to go back to relaxing! If you are looking for a loyal companion, Dixy would love nothing more than to nap by your side and gaze lovingly into your eyes. Other info: - Dixy politely requests to be an only dog, in a home with no cats. - I haven't tested her with kids, but she is super submissive/sweet with humans and does not get disturbed when you touch her all over (actually she loves it ����), so my guess is she would do fine with little ones. - Dixy and I are currently in Miami, but honestly I would drive this angel anywhere east of the Mississippi (or meet halfway) for the right fit.
