About Riley

This playful girl is RILEY! She's been at the Manhattan ACC in New York City since January, so we'd love to help her find a wonderful furever home soon! She is urgent need of placement before the ACC shelter will kill her ! You ask why ? That's what they do murder innocent sweet dogs ! Riley is approximately 3 years old, weighs about 57 pounds, and she's spayed. She would do best in an adult-only home without other pets. ACC states she resource guards . Here's what one of the shelter volunteers had to say about Riley: 'Riley is the wrinkliest cutie at the Care Center! Even when her tail's wagging up a storm over toys, treats or petting, her perpetually 'worried' brow remains as serious and smushy as ever. I'd describe her overall look as 'business in the front, party in the back' and though she might seem a little shy at first glance, once Riley knows and trusts you her inner puppy comes out to play and she'll happily show off come, sit and stay on command for the reward of a plush toy or a snack. She walks very nicely on leash, passing other dogs with ease, and seems extremely house trained too. This smart gal even has a range of vocalizations to let you know when she really, really wants something and next to her adorable face, they might just be my favorite thing about her. If you're looking for a couch potato or a babysitter then Riley might not be 'the one' but for any adult connoisseur of clever, lively, affectionate pups with personality plus, she could be the once-in-a-lifetime pet you never knew you were missing.
