He knows basic commands (no, stay, paw, go lay down, give). He is very protective of his humans and territorial of his home, a great watch dog! He will do best in a home with no children and is OK with other medium or large sized breeds. He previously lived with a mini pit mix. Sonny has food aggression during his meal time and needs a patient owner to teach him. He is used to running around free in a yard or at the dog park and has not been leash trained, which results in some leash aggression. He loves to play fetch, go swimming (pool and beach) and cuddle. He wants to spend a lot of time with his humans. Sonny is best fit for a home with adults with Rottweiler experience and a large fenced in yard. Adoption fee is $250. This covers the cost of all age appropriate vetting. Rescuer makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the dog. The dog is adopted 'as is', and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. Rescuer will provide the dog with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization before adoption if the age and current health of the dog permits. While the rescuer makes every effort to place only healthy animals, the rescuer cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed.
