About Sophie

Sophie is a very sweet girl. We got her from craigslist and she was obviously abused by a man. It took 9 months before she was comfortable enough to come to me. Now, after 5 years with us, she is very loving and affectionate. The only problem we have with her is that when she is provoked by our small dogs she attacks them. We have almost lost both of our small dogs to her several times. She would do very well in a home with no other pets. We would like to see her go to a place with plenty of room to roam, as she is on a farm now and loves being able to go out at will. She loves her kennel and sleeps in it. We don't lock her in there, it's just her safe place. She doesn't tear anything up and she loves toys that squeak. And, she loves shoes for some reason. When she is happy she likes to pick up a shoe and carry it around. She doesn't chew it, just carries it in her mouth. Sophie is 75 pounds. She is protective and leery of strangers, especially men. She loves women and children and me, but she isn't very trustworthy around strange men.
