About Boris

Adoption Fee: $395
Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

*GUARDIAN BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** Boris is a 100lb, neutered male who is very in tune with his guardian heritage & requires a strong owner who has experience with guardian breeds. He can be just as stubborn & protective as he is calm & loving. He was found locally in Pennsylvania, abandoned in a basement along with another Great Pyr/Anatolian mix (who has since found his own furever home!). Due to his history of abandonment, Boris suffers from separation anxiety & will need an owner who is willing to work through this and/or another dog to keep him company. Overall, Boris is social, friendly & loves attention! He has an easy temperament with a low-medium energy. Boris enjoys napping on the couch just as much as going for a leisurely walk. This lovable guy is an extra large lapdog & snuggle buddy and a goofball who is just endlessly entertaining! He is food motivated and knows some basic commands. He also does well walking on a leash up until he see's a squirrel... Boris can be dog selective and tends to prefer lower energy dogs & slow dog introductions. He currently lives with 1 female and 2 male dogs and gets along great with them! Boris would do best in a home with older kids who are comfortable with large dogs as he sometimes doesn't realize his own size. He is cat friendly but may do best with a cat who is familiar with dogs as he can be curious & playful.
