Hi! My girlfriend and I found this little guy off of a highway near Little Rock 4 weeks ago. I chose to take him in and have been taking care of him the past month. He has been a great roommate to have :) The vet says he is a 'healthy young boy' with no major issues. We got him microchipped and vaccines are up to date. He did test positive for asymptomatic heartworm and is currently being treated. This is a three month treatment protocol and I am happy to fund the remainder of his heartworm treatment. He will also be safe for nudering after his treatment is done. Personality-wise, he is extremely friendly with other humans and animals. He loves the outdoors and gets along with everyone, bringing lots of joy to those around him. He is average energy, walks on a leash, and seems to be house-trained (he's had 5-6 accidents over the course of 1 month). He does have significant separation anxiety at times and seems to do much better with people around. We have not sought out treatment for the separation anxiety other than hiring a dog-sitter and bringing him to doggie daycare during the day, which he loves. I think he would do best in a family environment with people at home and space to go outside. Please reach out with any questions :)
