About Ruthie

Adoption Fee: $350
Beagle mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Ladies & Gentleman meet #Ruthie. She's about 6 years old, a beagle mix and looking for a place to rest her head. She is definitely a hound, that's for sure! She has ears for days, has a required deep bark and loooves to sniff. Ruthie is very independent, but enjoys human companionship, her long daily walks and a nice yard to explore in her off-leash time. Ruthie has a couple foster sisters and a brother that she really doesn't seem to care about (We are unsure about cats). But in all honesty, she'd thrive best in a home as the only dog. Ruthie would thrive in an average to laidback home. Her biggest pet peeve is that she doesn't like her feet or ears touched. Ruthie is 100% potty trained, 100% crate trained and great on a leash. Ruthie loves watching tv and the snacks that go along with it. She's very good motivated. Adoption Requirements: - No kids under 16 - Would thrive best in an average to laidback, calm home. - Would thrive best as the only dog in home. Ruthie is currently up for adoption through Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue. Our adoption fee will include her distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, and lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; & being fixed. Ruthie is heartworm negative & is currently on heartworm prevention, as well as flea & tick preventative. The application MUST BE filled out, a Vet Check MUST BE completed by our team, as well as a phone interview before we do a 'Meet N Greet.' Vet Checks When adopting through our rescue, we 'ALWAYS' do a vet check on each applicant's pets that they have owned over the past 10 years. Please make sure to call your vet to grant them permission to release this information to our rescue. That being said, all of the animals in each applicant's home must be UTD on all of their vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies), an UTD Heartworm Test, & currently on both Flea & Tick, as well as Heartworm Prevention. So please make sure that when you are applying that all of your current animals go to the vet that is listed. How To Apply: If you're interested in adopting one of our available dogs: 1. Email [email protected] with the dogs name as the subject when you ask for the adoption application. 2. Once you have completed the application, please print it out, fill it out, scan it, & then email it back to [email protected]. 3. Please make sure to call your vet to grant our organization permission to do a vet check on your current pet. 4. We always do a home visit. And we always have both the prospective families & dogs best interest at heart! Lending A Helping Paw Mission Statement: Our mission is to play an active role throughout our community by 'Lending A Helping Paw' to animals that were either abandoned, in shelters, unwanted, homeless, chained outdoors, or victims of prior abuse and/or neglect. Our rescue family has accomplished this by setting up each animal and their new families up for success, educating and consulting pet parents about what's in the best interest of their pets overall well-being, and creating an awareness in our community about the vital importance of fully vetting and spaying & neutering their pets.
