Friendly with strangers, outgoing, playful, sweet, friendly - she has it all. But, unfortunately, poor Bella had a family who didn't spend an ounce of time with her and then dumped her when she pee'd in the house or tore up a sock. Maybe if they spent more time with her, taking her for walks a few times a day, supplying her with high value toys or stuffed kongs, or keeping her crated when they went out of the house, she would not be at the shelter now - alone, confused, and wishing she could go home. We hate when families blame their pets for their OWN failure to provide them the environment where they could flourish. It's not Bella's fault, because she is so eager to please, friendly, outgoing, affectionate and sweet. She loves to give hugs to new people, she loves to have spa days where she gets a bath and is doted on, and she adores going jogging She's a young, active, dog who would spend so much time alone that when her family would go out she'd get bored and anxious. Can you blame her? She needed their love, support, time and attention. She was an afterthought to them. Please show this sweet, outgoing girl that her life matters! She makes the best out of any situation. Every time I see her she seems like the happiest girl in the world. She is super sweet to everyone she meets, a real people pleaser. A staff member writes: Bella is a fawn-colored 'beauty' who is always up for a new adventure or for snuggling to binge-watch Netflix. During Intake: Bella held a loose body with a wagging tail throughout intake and would occasionally try to jump onto counselor's lap. For a New Family to Know: Owner described Bella as being playful and anxious. She follows her owner around the home as well as staying in her favorite spot in the home. She likes to play with squeaky and rope toys. She likes to play tug and she usually sleeps in big chair or in a sleeping bag. Bella was fed both wet and dry food, twice a day as well as being fed boiled chicken with rice on occasion. She would pee in the house daily because she drinks a lot of water. Bella usually goes potty on grassy areas, gravel/dirt areas and on wee wee pads when inside. When left alone in the house Bella would destroy household items like shoes. Owner stated that she knows the commands sit, come,and 'go eat'. For exercise she likes to go running/jogging. When off leash Bella would wander a bit but will come when called in a fenced area.
