*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Needs %BD%BD%BD'%BD Physically fenced yard %BD%BD%BD'%BD Children 10+. 'Loverboy' Levi is a devoted, handsome and funny young boy. He is an 11-12 month old, 55lb Dutch Shepherd/ Staffie mix with a Beautiful brindled coat and heart of gold. Levi is friendly, smart and silly. He's playful, funny and loves to romp around with other dogs but doesn't find cats to be suitable pals so needs a home with no cats. This cute boy enjoys simple pleasures - walks, some play time and belly rubs will make him feel content and loved. Smart and social, his foster mom says he wants to greet everyone he sees. He has wonderful house manners and is happy to go on long walks during the day and makes sure to sniff everything around him. He already has some favorite toys, particularly Mr Hedgehog who he takes to bed with him and also his blue tire that can be filled with treats as a bedtime snack! Levi is very playful when he sees birds or leaves flying and he leaps around puppy-style, ears flopping in the wind. He loves his foster family and is extremely loyal to them, he even makes sure that they are keeping up to each other on their walks otherwise he will circle back to 'herd' everyone in the right direction. He is a strong boy, and is making good progress learning to walk without pulling now that he has his new harness. After his walk he will settle in for a good nap. He is not a barker until he feels a deer or squirrel are too near his human 'herd' which is quite hilarious to see! Levi does enjoy a 'good boy' pat on the head at night before he falls soundly to sleep- he thrives on TLC! Levi would love to find a home with people (or a person) he can depend on to be his furever buddy. Companionship is his #1 priority, if you're looking for that same kind of dedication, Levi is the match for you! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here:(https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
