I adopted Maxine about 2 weeks after my sweet JRT of 13 years died of CHF. Maxie is very smart, energetic and affectionate; however, I have discovered that she is not tolerate of other animals (my cats are now in hiding!). My first JRT was very tolerate of the other animals and was a homebody Jack. Maxie is very trainable but she needs to be the only animal in the family. She is a typical JRT in that she is a hunter with dynamite instincts. I would love to keep her and train her but I love my other pets too. Please if you are willing to take some time and train her she would make a great companion as my previous baby girl did for me.
