Hi, my name is PADDY - ID#A4366215. I am a neutered male, red and white Rottweiler and Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix, and I weigh about 70 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan 08, 2020. Such a HANDSOME guy! This happy, young guy came into the Shelter as a Stray out of Tempe. Paddy is still waiting for his forever match, and is all happy tail wags in exchange for some yummy snacks & attention! His Intake notes indicate he was friendly, allowed vaccinating, & walked well on a leash. His interactions with other dogs have been inconsistent, with evaluation notes indicating he was reactive greeting a social female dog at the fence. On leash he is inconsistent - explored in close proximity & then attempted to greet/inspect, but retreated/growled, lunged, & then stopped. He appeared 'insecure/possibly defensive'. Paddy is currently listed as 'selective' with his doggie friends, so introductions at the Shelter with current doggie family members are highly recommended, with the discretion of Staff, as long as furry family members are current on vaccinations. Patty was previously a Project Dog to work on his interactions with people due to jumping up to solicit attention, repeatedly mounting handler's legs, & being mouthy with his leash - but is now Adoptable.
