About Rex

Hi. My name is Rex Pancakepaws Magoof, but you can call me Rex. I find myself looking for a new home, or even a foster, in beautiful Santa Barbara. My fan club is quite large and I always bring a smile to everyone I meet. Originally I am from Santa Maria where I had a home, then suddenly I didn't. I don't dwell on that at all, it is their loss really and I am told that all that time by those who adore me. Some things that you should know about me are: I am a middle-age guy, about 6, who enjoys going for walks. No need for long walks, just some fresh air, watering of the plants along the way and a quick snack on the local grass. You know grass is good for digestion, right? Well that is what I read on the internet so I try to get a little grass snack every day. And you know everything is true you read online�'�| Back to me, I enjoy meeting everyone I can on my walks and everyone wants to meet me. They call me a chick magnet or more like an everyone magnet. I do well with other dogs, have interest in cats, so probably not a good fit for a home with cats. With all of this going on, why am I still looking for a home? They say it is because of my pancake paws- basically due to neglect in my past, by not seeing a vet, my paws are kind of like pancakes. It is confusing to me since I thought pancakes were tasty treats. They say you can hear me coming down the hall or street, they say I could be a Clydesdale dog. Seriously the things they think of�'�| So my walks need to be on the shorter side as my sensitive paws will get irritated. Boots have been mentioned but will see what they come up with to fit. Back to walks. You know what keeps me going on walks? Treats! I love those jerky treats from Costco, yummo! They also help me find encouragement when I put on the breaks and do not want to do something. I like to work it for those treats and it gets them every time!
