About Sissy

Hello my name is Sissy and I am 3 yrs old and listed as a Lab / American Staffordshire Terrier mix per my shelter paperwork. I was surrendered along with my daughter Missy to a high kill shelter in TX when my rescue pulled us to safety on our last hour to live. We were very scared in that noisy shelter and did not understand why our people left us there. We came in together but did fine without one another so Missy has already found her new home. I am heart worm positive and started my medications to treat my heart worms. I am human male selective so if there is a man in your home, I need to meet him first to see if I am going to be comfortable with him. I am a very sweet girl who loves my people and I love to watch tv. I have been around children in a temporary foster home and other dogs before coming to doggie day care. My rescue will also continue to pay for my vet bills and heart worm medications until I retest negative for heart worms. With heart worm treatment, I must remain calm and can't be stressed and needs to be done when I'm in my home. Please don't pass me by because I have heart worms. My owner before didn't give me preventives and why I have them now but they are not contagious and can be treated. I dream of the day someone takes me home so I can be part of a real family who will care for me and let me be their best friend. Laying on the sofa or on a soft rug watching this television thing that I love to watch and getting all kinds of hugs and love sounds wonderful. I promise to be a good girl if you will pick me.
