About Newi

Hi, my name is Newi , and I am a 10 year old Dachsund/JR mix. I weigh 22 lbs and am a stalky build. My temperament is sweet, outgoing and gentle/calm and I get along with fellow canine companions as well as kids of all ages. I am the kind of dog that would be best suited with a more relaxed lifestyle but can easily take RV trips as well. I am the constantly happy, go with flow kind of guy, so my foster mom says! I am very gentle, sweet and love belly rubs. Leash and basic command training came quickly for me as I so want to please. I am potty/crate trained as well, such a plus foster mom says! My favorite thing is sleeping with my best fur friend Peele. We have been together since pups and she is also 10. She's a dachsund/Corgi mix, same size and we must be adopted together. Well she has a few more pounds because I offer her my cheese! I came into rescue because my first and long time owner is suffering from a health condition where she has to go into a memory care unit and can no longer provide for us. We are very sad but optimistic that we will find the right home to live out our final years providing much joy to the lucky couple who gets to own us! We to look forward to meeting you! I have a soft short coat and am up to date on all my shots, preventatives and am HW negative. I am also neutered and microchipped. My rescue mom is taking applications for our permanent adoption and I am excited for our new family! I can be adopted in any of the 50 states. Transport fees will apply in addition to application.
