We're suspicious that under times of stress, she may get an upset tummy more easily than other dogs. She's a sensitive kind of girl. Her eyes were really gunky and cloudy when she first got here but have since improved. What kind of home would be best for me: Katie wants an easy going and calm home. She could be a work at home single person's bestest quiet friend or live happily with an older person who is looking for company but not necessarily a needy, in your lap kind of girl. Katie is equally independent and personable. Katie has been with our rescue getting medically ready for her forever home since August 2019. She is finally ready and eager to meet her new family! What is my personality like: Katie is a spunky little old lady! When the mood strikes her she hops, skips and jumps around like she wants to play. Even though she can be playful sometimes she just doesn't want to be bothered and will let you know by snapping at your hands. It's okay though, there is no power to her bite even though she thinks there is. After her dental, she was left with just 6 teeth. Katie does well with her playgroup of older dogs. If she is to have canine buddies, she would do best with older dogs that match her personality. She has no desire to be around any rambunctious puppies. Katie is content snuggled up in her crate and at moments doesn't even want to come out. She is very happy to receive treats and eats her food at a normal pace. Katie can be picky when it comes to food and prefers only canned or something easy for her to eat. How do I act when I first meet new people: Cautious at first. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.
