About Alba

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Say hello to Alba! Alba is around 13 or 14 years old and is said to be a Boxer/Mastiff mix. We are looking for a patient hospice home for this sweet girl to live out the rest of her life. She qualifies for our Senior Animal Adoption Fee meaning her adoption fee will be credited towards the vet clinic of her adopter's choice to be used towards her ongoing and future vet care expenses. Before considering adopting Alba, please be aware that KPAL Rescue has a mandatory adoption process in place which includes a background check and a home interview (interview can be arranged via video for those families who are not local to Kenai/Soldotna). More information on our adoption process can be found in our pinned post, please read that post in it's entirety before submitting an Adoption Application as this process cannot be waived. We do not ship our animals. Alba is a lovely old girl. She does a whole lot of sleeping nowadays, loves car rides, and is good with kids. With her age does come some not-so-lovely things - Alba should be separated from other dogs during feeding times. She can be protective of her bed (towards other dogs). Alba has severe separation anxiety and should not be left alone for more than a coupe hours at a time (stay-at-home mom? work from home? retired?). She will need to be on anxiety and allergy medication for the rest of her life. She doesn't have the greatest bladder control and needs frequent potty breaks (thankfully her medication is helping with this some). While we search for her forever home, Alba is being loved and cared for by Katie. Thank you for fostering Alba, Katie; we greatly appreciate you.
