About Roscoe

Young Kelpie mix - about 1 yr.. Possibly shepherd or husky.. that tail curls. I thought he was a screaming high energy dog, but he's not! Totally reasonable and just wants to be included. After I saw him lie all night outside in the rain, in the last place he saw me, I had to bring him inside. He is fantastic in my house! Respects lines in the sand! He doesn't cross thresholds unless invited. Roscoe is housebroken and doesn't touch anything that wasn't given to him! He hunkers down and sleeps all night. He could have had a dog bed, but he wanted to be as close as he could to me and the inside pack, so he slept on the wood floor, across the threshold of my bedroom door?! Hard not to fall for this guy... He's munching big cold carrots and cow hooves. Roscoe is a devoted dog. He's amazing me every day. And just so good with other dogs. I can't ask for a whole lot more. He's fit right in here. People, other dogs, he's fantastic. Not a barker at all. He's about 45 lbs, but skinny! Needs to gain weight. Second day here, we went on the pack hike. I checked him with a long line, whistle and a treat bag. Check, check, check! He got to go off leash in 15 minutes. Major was right behind him. We had a great hike! He wasn't even that high energy. We just had a really pleasant pack walk with mostly new dogs and it was great. Lots of photo opps. When I want Roscoe, I blow that whistle and he whips around and runs to me. He loves attention and we are connecting. He loves Vicky, who joined us and we social distance pack walked! So nice! Roscoe was tired and a really good boy, sleeping in his chosen kennel run, door open. But now, he can sleep in the house at night.
