About Harriet

Harriet is a darling 5 year old Chihuahua mix who is looking for her happily ever after. Life hasn't been a fairy tale for Harriet; she found herself scared and on the streets and thanks to the wonderful volunteers at HARTT she was safely trapped and is now ready for her forever home. Harriet is understandably shy with new people and will need some patience from her family while she adjusts. Harriet would do best in a home without younger children since noises and quick movements are intimidating. Harriet will need to be watched carefully near fences, gates and doors to ensure she does not find herself back on the streets. Harriet is in a home with a foster Mom that has 9 dogs and Harriet has done well with all of them. Foster Mom is recommending that she go to a family that has a confident and happy dog(s) to help her trust her human family easily. Harriet's foster Mom says she is doggie door trained (no accidents at all), not destructive, but will need leash training. Harriet's adoption fee is $240 which includes a free vet visit as well as 30 days of complimentary pet insurance. A home check is required.
