About Kendra (east)

Hi, my name is KENDRA - ID#A4366349. I am a spayed female, tan and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan 09, 2020. Kendra was extremely frightened and nervous and had to be captured with a snare when brought to the shelter. Since then, she has improved greatly. Kendra is happy, well mannered, and enjoys meeting new people. She lights up when seeing her friends. Kendra absolutely loves showing off that she knows 'sit', 'shake' and 'down'. Here are some notes from volunteers who recently spent time with Kendra: 3/25/2020 ENRICHMENT Participated in playgroups; wide eyed when social male dog attempted play at the fence; introduced the two on leash - she was mostly avoidant and exited interactions. 3/28/2020 WALK Kendra's pull was moderate, went straight to the door, return was easy. She walks well with lead as harness, she knows sit, shake and down. She's a happy, affectionate girl. She's very easy to spend time with on walks. 3/29/2020 WALK Friendly and excited in kennel; pulls hard on leash; playful; zoomies in the grass; very affectionate, leans into petting; very treat motivated - demonstrated 'sit' and 'shake'; explored yard then sat next to handler; great, smart, loving dog. Please consider sweet Kendra for your next furry family member. She is now at immediate risk of euthanasia.
