About PEANUT

HELLO GORGEOUS! PEANUT is an handsome chihuahua mix who's about 2 years old and weighs 10lbs. Recently rescued from a high kill shelter, he's looking for a loving home with a guardian with small dog breed experience. He's in an awesome foster home who share the following: 'I adore this pup. He is so sweet and affectionate and loves to be with his people. He was very fearful when he first came into the shelter and when i first met him. He snaps and barks in fear at strangers but quickly warms up if given a little correction and time to build some trust. Once he warms up to you, he is you best friend. He is very clingy to the person he bonds to. He follows me where ever I go. He loves car rides but beware b/c he can open the window. He gets along great with my 4 dogs who range from 20 lbs up to 65 lbs. He does great with our office cats at the shelter I work at. He has a typical Chihuahua personality. He likes to snuggle and sleep in the bed. Would probably not put him in a home with children. He can be very playful but may get a little nippy or mouthy when excited. Chillaxing on the back of the couch or napping in your lap are two of his favorite places. We are still working on house training. He has some separation anxiety and hates crates so he would do best with someone who works from home or a retired couple.' PEANUT is neutered and up to date on age appropriate shots. His adoption fee is $425.00. Please note that training is highly recommended for all young dogs. As with all rescue animals, breed determination cannot be validated without genetic testing.
