About Candy

Candy is a 2-3 year old Hound mix dog weighing about 55-60lbs. Candy was abandoned at a shelter in Kansas with her ten, 2 week old puppies.�%A0 Being a mother of 10 is hard enough, but feeling the uncertainty of being in an overcrowded shelter while trying to protect your babies sounds like an absolute nightmare.�%A0 We cannot even imagine what Candy went through. Candy was transported to CO almost immediately so she could get into a safe, secure home to raise her puppies.�%A0 Fast forward 7 weeks, and all Candy's babies have found their forever home, and it is now her turn.�%A0 Here is what Candy's foster Momma has to say about her: 'Candy is the sweetest dog and just wanted to be around people.�%A0 She loves to cuddle and is always up for a nap on the couch.�%A0 She's house broken and sits at the back door any time she needs to go out.�%A0 She has no food aggression and is extremely gentle.�%A0 When she gets excited she can get a little mouthy but it's all play to her!�%A0 She is great on a leash and walks right next to the person walking her.�%A0 She does have a pretty strong nose and prey drive, so bunnys and birds are very, VERY exciting to her.�%A0 She knows how to sit for her food too.�%A0 She is the biggest snuggle bug and goof ball.�%A0 If we didn't work such long hours we would absolutely be adopting this love.�%A0 Whatever family gets her will be incredibly lucky!'
