About Pecos

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: Due to the Coronavirus we are suspending any out of state adoptions until further notice. Hi! I'm Pecos, and I am an absolute dream boat! I am named after the Pecos River here in Texas, and I am just as cool and fun as you can imagine. I'm almost always playing with toys & my sister, or am busy assessing my next meal or trip to the water bowl. My foster mom thinks it's so cute that I always get the hiccups! I'm constantly making everyone laugh with my quirky moves - I'm proficient in the 'hide in the shadows then pounce' move on my sister. With just a few days of practice, I am already doing very well at potty training and can hold in my crate. I like to sleep there, on my puppy bed, or actually anywhere I can find - but mostly love to sleep close to someone or some pup else. And boy do I love snoozing! I have the most exciting dreams when I'm catching some z's! My foster mom says you can tell by the speed of my paws moving that I'm dreaming of running into the arms of my forever family. I love a good little belly rub and cuddling. I enjoy attention and love from other dogs and humans of all sizes and ages. While I am fine being by myself, I much prefer to be with people and pups - no matter what we are doing. I am looking forward to joining my forever family and can not wait to love all over them! Pecos is a Male Shepherd / Rottweiler Mix that we estimate to be born around 1/29/2020 and currently weighs 7 lbs. (as of 3/23/20). PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
