About River

Meet River, an 11 week old, small terrier mix. River is from a litter of all boys that were delivered in Alabama when their mom picked a random home and gave birth outside nearby. The humans fell in love and took care of all the them until the boys could get to a rescue, then spayed and adopted 17 lb. Mom. River weighs 7 pounds and has one of the most mild personalities of the litter. He enjoys life on his back in the sunshine or alongside his human on the couch getting endless belly tickles and giving kisses. He has black hair like his mom and his brothers are all caramel in color. He was born with a partial tail like 2 of his brothers. He loves playing with other dogs, toys, and cuddling alongside his little humans. He enjoys chewing, playing, eating, relaxing in the yard, and sleeping. River is currently potty trained on newspaper, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and fostered in Harrisburg, PA awaiting his furever family. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
