Haymitch is a shy but sweet 1 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is looking for the perfect forever family who will always love him and keep him safe. We met Haymitch when he was abandoned at our front door, so he has rightfully been scared during his time with us. Haymitch loves other small dogs and would do best in a home with a gentle but confident canine companion who can help to teach Haymitch to trust. We don't have much history on Haymitch since his family didn't come in to give us any information before leaving him behind. Haymitch is very sweet with those he trusts and will make a very loving and loyal companion for a family that has the patience for him. Haymitch is timid with loud noises and quick movement, so he would be happiest in a home with only older mature children. Haymitch will likely need training, possibly including house training, as well as patience while he learns and adjusts. He weighs 7.9 pounds and needs to gain a few ounces. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $220 and includes 30 days of complementary pet insurance and a free vet visit.
