Koivu was one of our very first rescues and has been with us since he was 3 weeks old. One of our amazing volunteers was at dinner & overheard a lady saying her boyfriend's mixed breed dog bred with her prize English Mastiff. It was the mama dogs first litter & she didn't know how to properly take care of all the puppies & the owner wouldn't help her with them. Therefore, all but two puppies ended up passing away & the lady was going to go home & kill them. We stepped in and took them in with open arms a d bottle fed them. Today, Koivu is a sweet as can be cuddle bug! He is eager to learn and easily trainable. He loves treats and any type of attention. Koivu does great with female dogs or very submissive males, he's amazing with cats and kids! Koivu is a goofy, lovable ball of energy that gives lots of kisses and thinks he's a lap dog. He has been working on his leash skills, jumping and all basic manners. He is crate trained, potty trained and loves to play ball! Please give this black beauty a chance!
