Donut (aka Diesel at the shelter) is a 7 year old owner surrender who is available to the Jacksonville/Tampa area. He is housetrained and non destructive. Hes very good on car rides. He likes to be inside, but also will go on walks very nicely. He will bark hello to other dogs, so it most likely seems he wants to be the only one.Donut loves to play with his tennis ball, but needs some tips on how to play fetch (he doesnt understand you have to drop it LOL). Donut is a big couch guy...loves to sit and watch movies, and sleep through the night on your couch. But he also will lounge on the floor too. Donut is treat motivated and speaks when he wants one! he knows sit, lay down, and paw (but could use some lessons on sharpening them). He has such an expressive face and unique personality. Donut seems to love hard whoever is taking care of him and will wait by the door and bark for a moment when you leave, but stops shortly after. (Hes probably used to a stay at home owner, or likes all the attention while we are in quarantine). He loves men and women and children all the same. He lets you pick him up or lift him if need be. Donut probably was looked over at the shelter because of his greying muzzle - but he is by no means an old man! however, he definitely is mellow and a well behaved guy when hes not playing with his ball. His notes state his previous owner said he has an allergy to chicken and grass - he does scratch and lick himself which makes me believe he probs has maybe allergies or dry skin. We took Donut to walks around the Riverwalk, South Tampa neighborhoods, the farmers market, and to a bay dock. He did very well at each location. Donut deserves a sweet place where he can be bachelor of the home and not have to go back to the shelter where he was surrendered since January. If you are interested in a meet and greet please fill out an adoption application located on our website at www.pawprinthearts.com His adoption fee is $150.
