About Dorothy

Meet Dorothy, a sweetheart 6 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua hoping she can find a home in Colorado. Little Dorothy has heard of all the dog loving people in Colorado and hopes she can find a new family here. She was with her last family for her whole 6 years and thought she was safe and thought she was loved. But one day the family decided they did not want her anymore and took her to the local high kill shelter and told them to take her. They were told she would be euthanized, but they didn't care and they didn't look back as they walked away. That was the last time Dorothy saw the only family she had ever loved. She gave up hope of them coming back and has almost given up hope on everything until our partner rescue in Texas scooped her up and took care of her in their rescue. She is ready now to find a new family and has a great outlook on life. She has hope and she has love, lots of love to give to her new family. Dorothy is a sweetheart of a girl who just needs someone to give her a second chance.
