About Mary

Miss Mary is looking for her fureverhome. Mary MUST be in a home with ANOTHER FRIENDLY DOG. We rescued Mary and her sisters from the kill list at a southern kill shelter many months ago! Mary's sisters are both adopted now. But Mary is more shy than her sisters and needs a more specific home with another friendly dog and a patient loving human. Mary is now approx 9 months old 37 lbs. She looks like a mini Shepherd / Collie mix. Her foster mom says: ' Mary is nervous around new people but once she accepts you she is such a love muffin. She loves other dogs so a home with a playful dog would be necessary. She's great in the yard, loves watching birds and squirrels. She is totally housebroken and crate trained but would prefer to cuddle with you at night. At 37 lbs she's small enough to take sink baths which she sits nicely for. We recently traveled with her and she was a perfect hotel guest and is very good on the leash. She knows the commands sit and come. Unfortunately, she is very afraid of children so a home with adults would be best. She needs a patient and loving family to continue working with her on her shyness and to love and play with her. She's not a chewer but does loves her bones and bully sticks. This sweetie needs a great furever family. Oh! Did I mention how soft she is?'
