*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Hello world!! My name is Joe %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD My foster momma says I look like a gorgeous, delicious little lion cub but really I am a 30lb, 3-4 month old Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix puppy%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD Be prepared, I am going to be one big handsome boy when I am full grown...60-80 lbs or even bigger! So let me tell you a little bit about me. Even though I am just a puppy, I have been on my own, so I have had some time to think and dream about what I will need in my furever home to help me be your best friend and grow into a top-notch/well rounded and happy dog. Do you know about my breed mix? Well, being a Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix I am (not to brag, but it's a fact) highly intelligent and I will thrive in a home where my brains and energy are put to good use. Just like the traits in my herding breed mix I am an active, fun-loving guy who LOVES adventure. I love to work and play - and I also love to snuggle up when playtime is over. I have a remarkably fluffy soft coat, by the way. True to my shepherd nature, I can be reserved at first, but once I love you I am the most loyal, devoted guy. I fell in love right away with the people who met the transport I came on (they gave me food, which is an excellent way to my heart, just a tip). When I don't work my body and brain I can get rambunctious, so I like to have things to think about as well as a fenced-in yard to run around and get my ya-ya's out in. My foster momma is working on this with me by helping me get lots of mental and physical stimulation. I like to have fun with other dogs, so a confident and playful canine buddy in my furever home would be wonderful for me to learn from. Sometimes I forget the hands and feet are not toys to put my mouth on, so children over 12 would be best so they can help me learn. (I'm a bit too much dog for the younger children). If you are ready for adventure with a handsome, entertaining guy, please an fill out an adoption application for me. I can't wait to meet you and start our life long adventures together. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here:(https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
