Gigi is finally ready to start taking applications and can go to her forever home on April 8th! Gigi is around 4 years old and an American Staffordshire Terrier mix, but we cannot guarantee the breed of any of our dogs. She is a dense girl who weighs over 50 pounds, but isn't super tall. Gigi was at the absolute top of the euthanasia list when we worked together with some CACC volunteers to get her to Auburn! How can anyone let a sweet girl with those gentle eyes go? Upon getting her vetted we did find out she was heartworm positive. But, we started treatment ASAP and now she is on the road to recovery. Gigi's foster describes her as, 'Gigi is so full of life that it is impossible to spend time with her without a smile being on your face. She is always happy and ready to do whatever you're doing, whether it's playing with toys, going for a walk or taking naps. Cuddling with her is always the perfect way to end the day because her favorite place is to be snuggled right next to someone. She's been such a delight to foster and deserves someone to bring her as much joy as she does to everyone else.' Gigi is house trained and crate trained! She would do best around low-energy dogs or as an only child. She is good with cats! She has not yet been around children, but with her laid back personality they shouldn't be an issue. She is spayed, UTD on shots, dewormed, UTD on preventatives and microchipped. She is located in Auburn, AL and her adoption fee is $125.
