About Lori

Meet Lori! She is a Shih Tzu who was owner surrendered to us because her mom is unable to care for her. Lori is 10.5 years old and has been fed puppy food and puppy treats her whole life, which explains her weight of 19.12 pounds and bad skin. Her little legs are suffering under the strain of her weight so we are working on slimming her down and getting her healthier! To that end we are in the process of switching her over to good quality dog food and cutting out treats. Her foster mom is also working with her by introducing some gentle and gradually increasing exercise. Right now that means walks around the pool. Lori is a very sweet girl who wags her little tail when you talk to her. She sleeps in a dog bed beside the big bed at night. She doesn't have a lot of energy but she's friendly and fine with other dogs. Lori has had a wellness exam, a fecal, and all of her shots. She is heartworm negative and microchipped with a lifetime registration. She was also given a Cytopoint shot for her allergies. Lori is a good girl and her condition is not her fault.
