About Finn

We attempt to cover all known information about the dogs in our writeups. Meet and greets are set up by appointment only after we receive and review your application. If there are certain requirements for a particular pet that you are interested in, please ensure you meet that criteria. One application works for all of the pets in our care. To apply for a pet, please visit our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first and required step of the adoption process. We want all placements to be the best fit for dogs, humans, and other pets in the home. We do offer a trial period of time to make sure everything is working in the home. We use the observations and experiences of owners, fosters,vet staff, kennel staff, volunteers etc to complete write ups that are accurate to the best of our ability based on our interactions with the dog. Finn is such a good boy. He is a 4 year old (up for debate) mixed breed dog that weighs about 45 pounds. We were told Border Collie, but I see Cattle Dog mix. Whatever his medium build mix is...it's cute...and he is wonderful. Finn has lived with children, cats, and other dogs and does just fine. He knows many basic commands, but needs a review and some of the skills brushed up on. Unfortunately, his current living situation is not ideal and he spends far too much time alone that is not giving him his best life. Finn is house trained and crate trained. He would be a great addition to any family. He is neutered and microchipped, but does need one appointment to be brought up to date on heartworm testing and vaccines that are just now a bit overdue. We just weren't able to get that done before all the clinic closings happened.
