About Crawley

Meet Crawley, a sweet 2-3 year old, 15.8 pound Pomeranian mix. Crawley got caught in the middle of a domestic dispute through no fault of his own. His mom sadly surrendered him to us with 2 others and we promised to find him a good home! Crawley was terrified when he first came to the rescue and we have been giving him time to relax and recover from his ordeal. He would run if he thought you were about to pick him up or even touch him. However, after a few days of gentle petting and soothing voices, he started to relax and now comes to his foster parents asking to be petted. He is still not a big fan of being picked up. Each day he becomes more confident that he is in a safe place and he has learned to be more trusting. Crawley's adopter needs to understand that he may revert to this behavior until he feels safe and secure. He gets along great with other small dogs and seems to enjoy their company over his humans, so a home with another dog would be ideal. He seems to be potty trained if taken out on a regular basis. He loves to be outside and does not do well on a leash so a fenced yard is required. At this time Crawley has not shown any interest in toys. He likes to sleep in the big bed, but will get up during the night to roam. He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter is scheduled soon and is covered by the rescue as long as it is done at our vet. Crawley is a very sweet boy who will be a wonderful addition to a family willing to give him time and patience to feel loved, safe, and secure.
