About Jezebel

Jezebel has control over her ears like no other dog we have ever met! The talent she has with being able to move them around in so many different directions and bends at different times is purely amazing! Literally one can be up and relaxed and the other one bent and twisted in a different direction which will surely keep you entertained. Jezebel is a quiet dog that is both house and crate trained. She knows sit, down and shake and takes corrections well. She is learning impulse control and is very agile and willing to try new things like climbing up on playground equipment. This smart cookie is easily trained and would enjoy things like rally, agility, and will need some basic training classes. She is still a puppy and has so much more to learn! Jezebel totally understands this whole social distancing thing as that is the way she prefers it to be! Some dogs don't know a stranger... and then there is Jezebel who fully believes in stranger danger. For some reason she becomes a nervous nelly around people. Her emotions are confused around them because she's excited to be with them and yet scared at the same time. Because of this she does nervous pee but we are working on that. She also struggles with her sit stay and will go out a door quickly as she learns to trust. Jezebel bonds nicely to her chosen people... but needs to know and trust them before she can be assured they will protect her as well. She would like a confident leader that will help her feel more at ease when going new places and meeting new people. She needs people to give her time to settle in before pushing her to be social which is why adopting her right now is perfect timing with the stay-in-place in effect. Jezebel loves other dogs and would do best in a home with a playmate who is well balanced and friendly with both dogs and people. Too many dogs and too much commotion stresses her out though. She is playful and listens to their cues but can become a little too overstimulated at times. Jezebel isn't the least bit destructive and does well being left out of her crate. She loves when her people return but does not get stressed out while they are gone. Because her ears hear every sound, a home in a quiet neighborhood would be nice for her. Jezebel does well with kids who are calm and respectful. We aren't sure how she would do with cats but it is likely she would chase them. Jezebel is an absolutely amazing dog that just needs to learn she is safe and loved. She is a German Shepherd mix that is called a 'Panda' shepherd because of her markings. She is approximately 11 months old and 42 pounds. She is looking for a patient yet confident home that understands the importance of letting her decompress.
