Health Issue 1: Diabetes type 1 managed by insulin. He is currently on 15 mil 2/day but needs to have a blood glucose curve done asap at the vet to reevaluate. Health Issue 2: He has a skin condition that they believed were allergies, but im thinking it may be an autoimmune disorder. It causes some of his skin to go black from time to time. Health Issue 3: His eyes are starting to be effected by cataracts. He can still see, but alot of things are blurry. He needs assistance remembering how to get down stairs, where some things are, etc He is an amazing dog that my daughter was given as a puppy. Although I have tried my very best the last 7 years, he deserves a home that has more time and money to dedicate to keeping him happy and healthy. Alot of family have said to just put him down, but I dont believe hes at that point. I do believe he needs a higher dosage of insulin each day, more consistency with his routine (it cannot stray from the same time every 12 hours for food and insulin) and someone who has the time and money to make sure he is seen at the vet. He still loves walks, cuddles in bed, 'trying' to play catch, etc. He just needs the right family to finish his life with. I put $120 as the adoption fee because that is approx the amount of the gluclose curve. I am not asking for any money to be given to me, only confirmation that his vet appointment is scheduled and paid for. I want to make sure he goes to a home that has the time and financials to give him a comfortable remaining life.
