About Abby

Abby is a Beagle Mix who gave birth to a litter of puppies. The Dad was a Chihuahua mix and Abby was 35 pounds so the puppies should be in between there in full grown weight. Momma was scared and a little protective of her babies at first, but she has realized that she's in a safe place now. She has been a terrific Mom to her babies and would benefit from being in a calmer environment, preferably without loud, excitable children, until she is more trusting and knows that she is safe. Her foster Mom says Abby is generally a happy girl and will run around the house playing with balls. She would enjoy a family with whom she could go for long walks or run in the yard and then be content laying by your lap. Her foster Mom also says Abby walks well on a leash, is potty trained, Loves belly rubs and is very affectionate. Sometimes she thinks she is a lap dog when you are on the couch together, lol, Abby is also good in crate and sleeps through the night (in crate). She is good with cats too. Abby is about 2.5 years old and 35 pounds. Please help Abby find the loving home she deserves. Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
