About Layla

Hi, I'm Layla! I am 11 months old and weigh about 31 lbs. I am a 'Desi Dog' (a local term for 'street dog') from India in search of a home of my own. When I was a puppy, I was found with barbed wire wrapped around my hind leg. I was rescued by Kannan Animal Welfare (KAW), a local animal welfare group in New Delhi, who nursed me back to good health. I came to the U.S. from India on March 1 and now I am in search of a forever home! The nice people at KAW say that I am a shy and gentle girl who loves other dogs and my foster mom says I am the sweetest girl she's ever met. I get along well with my furry foster sister, even though she can be a little grumpy. I love living in a home now and learning lots of new things. I really enjoy sleeping on comfortable blankets. When I am really comfortable, I snore a little. I walk really well on a leash and I am great in the car, too. The only thing that is missing in my life is YOU. Apply now to become my forever family!!
