About Frannie

Golden Retriever mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi, I'm Frannie. I've been told that I'm a very special girl. My siblings and I - all six of us - were living on our own on the campus of Georgia Military College. Our mom abandoned us, and my siblings and I got separated. My four brothers were found by the GMC softball team and they gave the boys food and lots of cuddles. And then a real nice lady gathered them up and took the boys to a new place, something called a foster home. But my sister and I were too scared, so we hid from the people. My sister stayed with me for another month, but she got caught and she went to the same home. I survived on my own for more than a week, but I was so hungry and scared. And the nice lady finally caught me too. I'm at the foster home now and I love being with all my new friends. My foster mom has lots of puppies and big dogs for me to play with. But I'm still nervous about being around people. Every weekend I get to go home with the lady who saved me and my family, and it's taking me a while but I'm learning how nice it is to be loved. I try to be a good girl. I know the rules about not chewing on anything but my toys. And I'm doing good with being house trained - I didn't have an accident inside all weekend long! I'm also good about walking on a leash - going for walks is one of my favorite weekend activities. I'm even a good girl about sitting still in the car. And I heard the nice lady tell my foster mom how much I like Willie. He lives with the nice lady and he and I are good friends. But my bestest friend, Beau, lives next door. He and I get to play and go on long walks together. (Did I tell you that both Willie and Beau are boys - older dogs - but even though I'm a girl they seem to like me too.) Oh yeah, the nice lady also has a cat. And we aren't friends. But we get along just fine. Even though that darn cat talks mean to me sometimes, I'm a good girl and I don't chase it or bother it. If I got to choose, my perfect family would have at least one dog for me to play with. A cat would be okay too, I guess. I don't know how I'd be with younger children; they might understand that I'm so scared of people. I just need a family that understands me and has lots of patience. And a nice soft bed to share to share with my people - I love beds. Oh, and a fenced yard too - just to make sure I stay safe. It's been so long since I saw our mama that I don't even know what she looks like or what type of dog she is, and none of us ever met our dad. So my foster mom says that she isn't quite sure what type of puppies we are. But maybe a retriever mix? I've heard the humans say that I may end up being close to 50 lbs. I was born around 11/28, and I've been spayed and microchipped and up to date on all of my vaccines. So even though I'm still kind of scared, I'm ready to move on to my forever home. I'm at my foster's home in Eatonton, so you may have to drive a bit to meet me. But I'm worth it!
