About Lexi

Lexi is almost 2-years-old. She is guessed to be a Black Mouth Cur/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She was rescued from a boarding facility with her sister, but they were originally rescued from a rural KY shelter as feral puppies. Due to lack of socialization, Lexi has many feral-like tendencies. After two months, she will approach her foster mom on occasion, but still does not tolerate being pet. She LOVES the company of other dogs and playing with them is the only time she feels confident. So, she will need a playmate. Lexi does not walk on a leash. In fact, she wriggles and flails in fear. It would not be safe to even attempt to walk her right now. So a fenced yard is required. Lexi is a dog for someone who wants the challenge of making a difference in a dog's life. The challenge is just giving her time to trust, however long that may be :) Due to Lexi's extremely timid behavior, she is only a foster-to-adopt. This means you have to foster her to see and decide if you are able to commit to her forever :)
