About Chief Hendrix

'May the dreams of your past be the reality of your future', a quote straight from Jimi Hendrix himself. This shy 2 year old gentleman is hoping to be your future and forever. Chief Hendrix is a timid Border Collie/ Shepherd mix that seems as if he has traveled the world and is ready to tell you all that he knows. He was originally taken to County as a stray and had multiple puncture wounds on his muzzle. Although we don't know his past we are going to make sure he has a bright future. Chief weighs about 65 currently but does need to fill out and will gain weight. He has done best with humans that go slow and respect his boundaries. Chief has done good with men and women, but has never been around children that we know of. He may do well with older children that understand his boundaries. Chief loves to be around other dogs his size and those that are medium that can handle playing with a large dog. He is still a bit unsure of the feline species and may prefer a home without a cat. Chief is mostly house broken, knows how to use a doggy door, walks great on a leash and rides well in the car (but does drool). He is a big boy that will need regular exercise and he enjoys going to the dog park. Chief will need a home with a securely fenced backyard big enough for him to explore. No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped.
