About Obi

Obi has been a great dog for me, but he does not mesh well with my adult Asperger's son and scratched him, creating tension in the household. We have 5 dogs total, and he tried to assert himself as Alpha above them, but was put in his place and has not tried again. Obi would probably make a great security dog or protect dog, but he needs an assertive owner that will not be afraid of occasional growls (his way of 'talking' when in a good mood). He has moments when he gets mildly aggressive, but he has not bit us or the dogs. He loves the water, but not the rain. Still up in the air about snow. Is not disagreeable to long walks, but may flop down on the ground if you walk to slow. He is a strong chewer, so needs something strong to chew on when left alone. He does have some separation anxiety.
