About Sophie

Sophie didn't have a lot of interaction with strangers during her time with her original owner so she is shy around new people (especially men). But give her a few days and she will be the best companion you've ever had. She would do best in a home that is pretty quiet with no kids; someone who is home more often than not would be perfect for her. This short but over weight girl has great manners and is dog door trained, house trained, doesn't jump on people and she's pretty quiet most of the time. She's fairly good on leash but does pull a bit and she loves to go for walks. (Note that she will bark at strangers.) She loves to ride in the car and is calm when out riding around. She would love to hang out on the couch with you and loves to snuggle up on the bed/couch. Sophie is a medium energy level and would love to go on a walk every day. She should be on a diet as she is currently 70 lbs and should be closer to 55. If you can offer Sophie a great home and give her a few days to get to know you you will have an amazing companion for life.
