About Sheldon

Hello my name is Sheldon and I am looking for a new home that will be my forever home. I was found as a stray on the streets of Houston TX and was taken to the county animal shelter. I look like I have been taken care of but nobody ever came to claim me at that scary shelter. I was with a lot of other black dogs and its true that we get over looked. It came to our last day and we were still all there but my rescue pulled me and two others. I was picked up and taken to doggie day care/boarding where I am safe now. I don't really understand what all is going on but the nice lady where I am said I have a good rescue and they will make sure I'm taken care of. I am a bit shy and need to gain some confidence but I will get there. I am a good boy who is 3 years old, 52 pds and heart worm negative. I am starting to come around and wanting people to sit with me and pet me. I need to find a foster home or adopter in NC so my rescue can get me transported to them there. I will wait here in TX until that is found or they get a spot to put me until they can find me a new family. I am really looking forward to the new family because the ladies who takes care of me says I get to sleep indoors, have a soft bed and treats and toys!
