About Pearl

OK, LOOK AT THIS SWEET FACE! You know you want to know more about me. Give it a read nd give me a chance to melt your heart. My name is Pearl. I was adopted from a shelter in November 2019. I am approximately 4 to 5 years old. (at least that is what my vet said). I went through heartworm treatments and I am now very healthy. I am 35 to 40 lbs. I have been spayed and microchipped. I am current on my vaccinations. My owner says all paperwork of my history will come with me. My right eye is cloudy. Vet thinks was possibly a birth defect. It does not affect my vision. That eye sometimes requires dry eye medicine. I love hugs. It may take me a while to not be shy of you when I don't know you but when I do, I am your love for life. I love to run. I don't quite understand fetch though. I am crate trained and house broke. I will let my owner know when I need to go out. I will sit on command and will lay in my be when I m in the house. My owner puts me in my crate with a chew bone when she is gone because I get anxious and chew things. I love my crate though. When you get my lead I will sit and wait patiently for you to hook it up. I also sit and wait for you to unhook it. I am still learning to walk on the lead. I get excited sometimes and try to run ahead. My owner says it will not take much more training for me to learn to heal when told to. I live with a cat and a small dog. I try to play with them but don't realize how much bigger I am than them. When they won't play I will go lay down. I am not good around dogs that I don't know, especially if they come at me barking. That just happened to me. That is why I need a new home. I was outside not on my lead. A little chihuahua (who thought she was 100 lbs.) came running at me barking. It scared me so I attacked her. When my owner yelled my name and told me to stop I did and I ran back into my house. Because that happened my owner feels that maybe I would do better in a home without other dogs (unless you are willing to take time to help me to socialize with dogs I don't know.) My owner/mommy loves me very much and wants me to find an awesome forever home. I would love to be your forever little love.
