About Boots

Boots is the most wonderful companion dog you'll ever meet. He ADORES all humans and his heart's desire is to be in the house with his very own person and to be their companion. He's 4 years old according to the previous owner. His DNA test reveals that he is German Shephard with equal percentages of Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, White Swiss Shepherd, Border Collie and Chow. He has had a very sad life. He was terribly neglected. Boots has been given ProHeart12 shot to prevent heartworms for 12 months; neutered, vaccinated and DNA tested. He had lost his hair in patches, likely from stress (no skin diseases), but we are seeing it return quickly. Boots does not like other dogs, especially males. He tolerates female dogs as long as they have a calm, submissive nature. He is fine with very small dogs and puppies. He is at a rescue ranch where he has to be kenneled most of the tme. He prefers and LOVES LOVES LOVES to be in the house with his human. He desperately needs a foster home or an adopter with no dogs or cats, who can see the treasure that this dog is. A Transporter is willing to take him to Colorado if an adopter there can be found. Boots is large at 98 pounds, but not over weight. He's very friendly and affectionate with humans, both male and female. He lives with a 5 year old child and does wonderfully with her. He has a wonderful personality. He has guardian dog tendencies and loves patrolling the ranch when he gets the chance. If you would be interested in fostering or adopting, please let me know.
